Ayanda Borotho shared a picture of her beautiful daughter on Instagram and had this to say… “I was only 22 when I had you. I was shamed and ostracised by your pregnancy. I had many mixed emotions in the beginning…I was a child, having a child. It was one of the toughest times in my life. But here we are, 17 years later. And the narrative is completely different. I look at you and wonder how out of such a painful part of my life came the most beautiful and perfect gift? You are a constant reminder that even in the darkest hour God can breathe light and life. You are a testimony that what is meant to be will be. My life book would have been completely different without you. You make it whole. You make it beautiful.
Thank you for the love and the loud laughs. Thank you for your unconditional love that healed me. Thank you for channelling God’s strength to me. For holding me up when it was so easy to give up. Thank you for making me a better version of me, for allowing me to look deep at my flaws without judgement.
