A small Panel beating shop currently holds a vacancy for an experienced Work shop Manager based in Edenvale on the East Rand.

Reporting to the General manager, this position will be suited to a person who will be able to ensure that the workshop makes profits and maintains a good customer relationship.

Specific Role Responsibilities:
Ensure that the department achieves budget objectives by continual examination of operating controls.
Operate the department efficiently.
Ensure job costings.
Maintain effective control of expenses in line with budget objectives.
Monitor the effective use of labour by maintaining workshop productivity records.
Ensure strong follow up and rectification.
Ensure effective stock control.
Monitor workshop productive performance at all times.
Maintain and further Improve the quality standards of the company.
To ensure high standards of quality workmanship.
Maintain records of Customer complaints and / or congratulations for use and action as required.
Conduct monthly workshop staff meetings.
Ensure that all clerical functions within the department are carried out in accordance with policies.
Enforce all company policies and procedures.
Ensure that premises and equipment and other assets are controlled and used effectively.
Establish adequate safety and security procedures to protect property and personnel.
Check all workshop equipment for condition and accuracy of diagnosis.
Perform any other reasonable duties which may be required.
Must have own transport.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Must have STRONG leadership and time management skills.
Must be able work under pressure and meet deadlines timouesly.
