Atletico Madrid have signed Romanian international goalkeeper Horatiu Moldovan from Rapid Bucharest, the Spanish club said on Wednesday.
The 26-year-old cost 800 000 euros ($872 000) according to Spanish media reports, and he is set to be a back-up for first-choice goalkeeper Jan Oblak on a contract until June 2027.
Atletico’s current reserve goalkeeper Ivo Grbic is poised to depart the Spanish capital and has been linked with Premier League side Sheffield United.

Sbahle Mpisane is out on bail after being arrested for alleged reckless and negligent driving. Gauteng SAPS spokesperson Lt-Col Mavela Masondo confirmed: “a 30-year-old woman was arrested and charged with reckless and negligent driving”.
