Warehouse Assistant and Driver: Salary R7500 per month

Minimum Grade 12 certificate good communication skills and professional telephone manner good command of English verbal and written. Have basic mathematical skills. Be able to work with figures and do calculations. Licence for the Counter balance forklift, Turret forklift (man up) and pallet jack.Valid Code 10 drivers LicenceAble to work at a height of 12 meters.Ability to follow all reasonable instructions by the Warehouse manager and or Supervisor.Ability to work closely and amicably with fellow colleagues. Ability to interact with Distributors – be courteous, polite and well mannered at all times.Assist with the re-packing of goods within the warehouse responsible for receiving, picking, packing, checking and despatching of goods according to the Standard Operations ProceduresCorrect shipping of all goods to Africa DCS / local or export shipments / Door to door deliveries.Re-packing of pallets so as to meet shipment requirements.Off-load /load containers/trucks inbound/outbound for the Warehouse.

Warehouse Assistant

To assist in the monthly/daily stocktaking cycle counts, when required.To ensure that the entire National Warehouse is kept clean and tidy at all times.Ensuring stock rotation (FIFO) is done correctly. Depending on the DCs shelf-life requirements.Correct shipping of all goods to 3rd Party PackersAdhere to all OHASA Regulations and Requirements.Be able to drive relevant Forklifts.Deliver bulk product, packaging and raw materials to various packers and suppliers.Collect products from packers and suppliers.Check and sign for the correct product and quantities when loading on the truck.

This must be done both when delivering to and collecting from the suppliers.Responsible for all product that is loaded onto the truck.Maintain a record sheet of all daily activities, for example, time in, time out, mileage, suppliers visited etc.Ensure that the vehicle is clean.Maintain the vehicle in a satisfactory working order.Daily check of the petrol, water, oil, tyres, lights etc. Alert your supervisor when new tyres are required, or any repairs need to be done on the vehicle.Report any fines or damages to the vehicle, immediately to line manager. Maintain a petrol logbook and ensure that the truck always has sufficient petrol.
