The Asset Forfeiture Unit has the go-ahead to attach assets worth over R300-million from suspects in the Free State asbestos project.
The Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court granted all seven suspects bail on Friday.
They have been arrested in connection with an R255-million asbestos project.
They are facing charges of money laundering, corruption, and fraud.
NPA spokesperson Sipho Ngwenya says at least two more arrests are expected in the case.
“There are two or three more people that need to be added to the charge sheet and as soon as that is done, then we should be able to start with the trial as soon as possible,” Ngwenya said.
