KwaZulu-Natal: At 09H26 Tuesday morning, Netcare 911 responded to a shooting on Khululeka Drive in KwaDabeka, Durban West region.
Reports indicate that a cash-in-transit armed guard had sustained multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body in was is alleged to be a cross pavement robbery.
The patient, an adult male was found to be in a serious condition and was treated on scene by Meditech, Emer-G-Med and Netcare 911 advanced life support paramedics.
Due to the serious nature of the man’s injuries, a Netcare 911 helicopter air ambulance was activated to airlift the patient to a specialist medical facility. It is not yet known if any cash was stolen in the incident.
Circumstances leading up to the shooting will be investigated by the SAPS who were on the scene.
