My client, a well-established Engineering and Construction concern is seeking to employ a Professionally registered Architect with min 8+ years experience. Public facilities building experience essential and experience with Government projects and the South African tender process preferable. The successful candidate will act as a Project Architect and Project Leader.

Duties:

Take a project from inception through construction and lead the design process, Review and sign off technical drawings and specifications to QMS, Review plans, drawings, specifications, and estimates, Technical oversight for building technology/regulation compliance, Planning and control of technical work. Ensure integrated project delivery.

Pre- and Post-tender contract administration, Preparation of Technical reports, Multi-disciplinary services co-ordination, Team coordination, Oversee projects as needed, Project management, Project Financial and Resource forecasting and management

Requirements:

Registered Professional Architect, Excellent administrative capabilities, Software skills required to be used for design purpose and leading the rest of the team, Software knowledge in programmes such as Autocad (essential). Knowledge of Revit, Sketchup and 3D visualisation software will be advantageous. Should be able to manage/supervise/ multi-disciplinary teams.

Be willing to travel across the country for short trips, Should be able to manage multiple projects at the same time, Excellent construction- and general project management skills,
Be able and willing to mentor and guide junior architects and technicians.

Have a working knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001:2015)
