Schoolgirl accused of bullying appears in court

A Gauteng schoolgirl, accused of bullying another pupil, is facing harsh punishment. The 19-year-old girl appeared in court on Friday on a charge of assault. Gauteng MEC for Education Panyaza Lesufi visited the school and the victim.
The accused pupil has been suspended.
Lesufi says the School Governing Body (SGB) will also be dissolved.
Gauteng Education spokesperson Steve Mabona says this case should be an eye-opener for bullies.
“Its should be a deterrent for bullying. we know she was operating with a gang, we were told. There are also allegations that she has been doing this for some time.”
In a video that’s gone viral, the teenager is seen pouring a white liquid over another girl’s head, before throwing the container at her.
The accused pupil is set to back in court in February.
