Parliament fire suspect to appear in court
A 49-year-old man will appear in court on Tuesday in connection with the fire at Parliament.
He is expected to be charged with housebreaking, theft, and arson.
The fire destroyed the Parliament’s main chamber.
Meanwhile, Public Works Minister, Patricia de Lille, says Cape Town’s fire and rescue teams are using advanced technology to fight the fire at Parliament.
Firefighters contained the blaze on Monday, however strong winds caused a major flare-up.
