Anele Mdoda’s Radio Show on a Mission to Help Pregnant Women Amid COVID-19

During the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple people have expressed how they have been negatively affected by the pandemic and lockdown. The one major problem being job losses. Anele Mdoda and her team at 947 Breakfast Club have taken the initiative to assist expectant mom’s who have lost their source of income with money to help them through the lockdown.
She took to social media to thank Mzansi for their contribution in helping them raise funds through their ‘The Baby Box Project’ for mum’s to be. Thus far they have managed to raise close to R300 000.
“This week, my radio show raised over R200 000 to support moms to be, who have lost their income because of COVID19. Going in to give birth is already going to be an anxiety filled experience, imagine not even having a blanket to wrap your baby in. Thank you SA,” she wrote.
