Pule Mabe refuses to answer when ANC staff members will be paid

ANC National Spokesperson Pule Mabe took a defensive stance on the issue of unpaid salaries.

ANC employees have not seen a salary since October.

Mabe says members must show confidence in the organization.

The conversation got heated when eNCA’s Masego Rahlaga asked Mabe to respond on when ANC staffers will be paid.

He said, “media houses are funding opposition parties, so it tells you that there’s a big push by capital to get the ANC out of power.”

“I’m not going to tell you what you want to hear. We will tell members. If you want to know when people are going to be paid, work for the ANC.”

“We have taken a position that salaries of the ANC with those that work for the ANC, not the media. That’s the position we have taken and that’s the directive I’ve got from the National Executive Committee.”
