Tony Yengeni wins appeal to contest for ANC NEC position

The African National Congress has made a U-turn on its decision to disqualify Tony Yengeni from being a candidate for the party’s NEC positions.
Last week, Yengeni was disqualified from running for the NEC due to his criminal record.
Yengeni appealed the disqualification and the party’s Electoral Committee has decided to uphold his appeal.
He furnished the Committee with proof that he’s record was expunged.
Yengeni has been a member of the ANC National Executive Committee since 2007.
