ANC MP Bongani Bongo pleads not guilty to corruption

ANC MP Bongani Bongo has pleaded not guilty to corruption.  Bongo is at the Western Cape Division of the High Court on the first day of his corruption trial. He is accused of trying to bribe an evidence leader in Parliament’s Eskom inquiry in 2017.

He allegedly offered the evidence leader Ntuthuzelo Vanara any amount of money to collapse the inquiry. But Bongo is denying these claims.
