ANC calls for SA to withdraw from ICC

The ANC is urging the government to withdraw from the International Criminal Court.

This was announced by President Cyril Ramaphosa on Tuesday during his meeting with Finnish President Sauli Väinämö Niinistö in Pretoria.

He says the decision was taken because of the manner the ICC conducts itself on certain matters.

The court issued a warrant of arrest for Russian President Vladamir Putin.

Putin is expected to come to South Africa when the country holds the BRICS Summit later this year.
