Captures the system vision to provide an overview of technically what the system is to do and why.
Working with the Business Analyst, leads and coordinate functional and non-functional systems requirements definition and documents the same.
Converts the functional specification to technical specification
Is responsible for outlining the system’s technical functionality and defining the system scope. This includes identifying demands the new system will place upon the IT Environment, what will be its required response time(s), and other expectations the system must meet to achieve the desired purpose.
Key Responsibilities
The Systems Analyst is accountable for:
Analysis of new business requirements and translating them to system technical and non-functional requirements.
Design of systems according to the stated requirements
Plan & Organise
Consult with management, Business Analysts and users to determine performance and other technical expectations of the system
Understand the organization’s technical environment
Delivery & Support
Capture system vision.
Capture non-functional requirements.
Derive information requirement by use of relevant techniques, tools and prototypes.
Outline the functionality of the system.
Motivate & Evaluate
Monitor that the system is stable in production.
Provide insights to the systems analysts for effective system analysis
Review the system requirements, solution and effort estimates produced by the team
Acquire & Implement
Working with BA, recommend acquisition of new Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) packages, if appropriate
Education and Experience Required
Degree or Diploma in computer science, commerce or business administration, compulsory.
Information Systems Analyst certification from Institute for the Certification of
Computing Professionals, expert level.
Banking domain experience, required.
Minimum 10 years’ Systems Analysis experience.
Minimum 10 years’ Coaching and mentoring experience.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in working in a multi discipline team fostering collaboration and team work.
Expertise in Systems Design.
Expertise in Development.
Expertise in Business Continuity Management & Disaster Recovery.
Expertise in Compliance Audit.
Expertise in Quality Assurance.
Knowledge & Skills:
