Amo Chidi on leaving Rhythm City: It is bittersweet to say goodbye

Rhythm City actress Amo Chidi, who portrays the character of Reneilwe on the popular sudser, has finally bid farewell to the multi-award-winning production. The petite actress has been with the production for over eight years, and in February, news of her departure from the show gained momentum. This is after the channel issued a statement, confirming her resignation. What raised many eyebrows was the departure of two other significant characters Samkelo Ndovu and Jamie Bartlett, from the show.

In an Instagram post, Amo said: “It’s been a great honour to have shared the past 8 years of my career with an excellent cast and crew. It is bittersweet to say goodbye, you will be greatly missed.

She also thanked her Rhythm City family for their continued support: “Thank you to my fans for the unwavering support. As I humbly begin the next chapter of my career. I’d like to wish my Rhythm City family continued success. We wish her all the best in her illustrious career, as she explores other opportunities.
