Synopsis:
Provide quality patient care aligned to the scope of practice. Represent the hospital as a true brand ambassador by upholding the values of care, dignity, truth, participation and passion. Promote improved operational performance and patient experience through quality delivery of services and patient interaction, by subscribing to the highest level of integrity and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient assessment, management, and customer care
Adherence to HPCSA protocols
CPD compliance
Accurate administration and record-keeping
Self-management and development
Quality assurance to maintain work standards and integrity of data reporting
Effective control of vehicle and equipment
Compliance to Health and Safety Regulations
Compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures
Education:
Current registration with the Professional Board of Emergency Care at the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an AEA/ECT
Hold a valid PrDP for passengers and a valid Code 08 (Class B) Driver’s License
Work Experience:
1 Year post-graduate patient care experience in an operational environment (beneficial).
Knowledge:
Technical skills related to pre-hospital emergency medical care qualification
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Good interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to effectively manage stress
Conflict resolution
Computer literacy would be beneficial
Adequate driving skills related to the emergency response setting
