Amber Heard was recently spotted in Spain following her high profile trial against ex-husband Johnny Depp which she lost. The 37-year-old is believed to have moved to Spain with her young daughter. The controversial and high-profile lawsuit between Heard and Depp regarding her defamation of him, has led to the actress going bankrupt according to reports.
Depp won his defamation case with a jury awarding him $15 million after a seven-week long trial marked by shocking allegations of abuse leveled by both parties.
The “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor was awarded with $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages following the conclusion of the trial. Amber Heard on the otherhand, was left broke and broken. She did try to appeal the verdict but in December, the Aquaman actress said that she did not plan to go forward with her appeal of the defamation case.
This week, Heard was photographed for the first time in Madrid since her high profile trial. The American actress was all smiles as she signed an autograph and took photos with a fan.
People reported that Amber Heard was in a hurry to leave the United Sates with her daughter to start over after her reputation took a knock following the trial against Depp in Virginia last May. The trial was beyond stressful for her and she just wanted to start fresh out of the country,” a source told the publication in April.
It is unknown if Heard has a new project in Madrid.
