Health Minister Mkhize to respond on alleged corruption

Health Minister Zweli Mkhize is expected to respond to allegations about irregular multi-million rand contracts by his department.

Mkhize’s close associates are said to have benefited.

The Daily Maverick reports that the department paid communications company Digital Vibes R150-million for services.

It is alleged that the company received millions of rand for scheduling Mkhize’s media briefings on the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Mkhize will provide an update on the investigation.
