South African businessman, Edwin Sodi‘s name has been making headlines for years now. But since Tuesday this week, many have taken a special interest in him since it was alleged that he and media personality Minnie Dlamini were having an affair while she was married to Quinton Jones.

On Tuesday 10 May this week, gossip blogger Musa Khawula dropped bombshells about Minnie Dlamini and her marriage to former sports star Quinton Jones.
According to Musa, the Soccer Zone presenter spent a lot of time on Edwin Sodi’s jet while she was married to Quinton. He also said that the pair “kept their spark alive” throughout the marriage.

Edwin is notorious for dating some of Mzansi’s most influential women and is alleged to have played a big part in ruining several relationships.
After looking at Edwin’s net worth, it’s easy to see how he managed to attract so many “it girls”.
According to Savanna News, Edwin has a net worth of over R300 million (which may actually be more because he also allegedly has a number of businesses and properties not registered on his name).
The businessman is in his early 50s and holds 42 directorships in several private companies linked to property, construction, and office supplies.
He is also the sole director sat Base Property Holdings which holds mortgage bonds valued at R40.5 million.
In 2020, IOL also reported that four vehicles registered in Edwin’s name were valued at over R10 million and included a Porsche, a Mercedes-Benz, a Rolls Royce, and a Bentley.
Also in 2020, the businessman had his assets frozen after he and six others were accused of conspiring to defraud the State of hundreds of millions through the controversial Free State asbestos project.
In March this year, he handed himself over to the police after he allegedly threatened his ex-wife and her male companion with a gun at their Sandton home. He was later released on bail.
