AKA goes Diamond

Numbers don’t lie! That’s the gospel Supa Mega has been preaching to prove he is one of the best-selling artists of all time in the country.
Although the debate around the ‘G.O.A.T title’ and who takes it has been ruffling feathers, when numbers speak it is rather hard to refute that AKA is part of that list.
The platinum-selling artist has reached another milestone in his lengthy career as a solo artist by making history when two of his singles reached diamond status and another two were certified platinum by RiSA. The announcement was made during a private event at a fancy restaurant in Joburg last night and Sony Music Africa broke the news.
Mega’s hit single Dreamwork featuring Yanga was recently certified 5x Diamond and his single One Time has also been certified diamond. The World Is Yours and Caiphus Song have both been certified 8x platinum. This is a first for South African Hip-Hop.

Thank You. I am beyond blessed to receive this amount of LOVE ❤️ AND APPRECIATION. I don’t actually have the words to explain how it feels. GOD is great. The greatest of all time. #1 on my list of hottest MC’s. pic.twitter.com/CYgvcFIXQX

AKA said during his acceptance speech that people called ‘Caiphus Song’ rubbish.
Earlier this year, his latest album Touch My Blood was certified 2x platinum.
Every time AKA trends, one always assumes that the rapper has stirred some controversy; but this time (and many others) he has been trending for the right reasons.
