Court denies Airlink right to sue SAA

The High Court in Johannesburg has denied Airlink the right to sue SAA. The company wanted to recover about R500-million from the embattled national carrier.
SAA has been under Business Rescue since December.
This places a freeze on all litigation and claims against the company.
But, Airlink argued that money owed to it for tickets sold by SAA on its behalf was putting its business in jeopardy.
It asked for special permission to sue the airline and its business rescue practitioners.
The High Court dismissed the application, saying the company must wait in line like all other creditors.
