Advocacy group calls on Social Development to save SAPO

Advocacy group Black Sash is calling on the Social Development Department to urgently intervene as various Post Office branches have closed down in the Western Cape. The organisation says people who rely on its services will be financially impacted.

SAPO has cited financial constraints as reasons for closing down or merging branches in Cape Town. Black Sash says a standing agreement between Social Development and SAPO should be kept.
