Months after announcing her separation from Simon Konecki, Adele has officially filed for divorce. The Hello singer released a statement in April 2019 saying she and Simon, who had been together for more than eight years, have decided to separate but they remain committed to raising their 6-year-old son together. E! News confirmed Adele officially filed for divorce on Thursday.
A source previously told the publication the two drifted. “She became a bigger and bigger star, and he was okay [with] being in the background, but as she got bigger and had massive tours and intense schedules, they just grew apart.
Rumour Has It the singer has also been in and out of the studio recently, with an album coming out later this year.
