This role provides an entry-level opportunity to join a team of high calibre professionals, who support Old Mutual’s General Insurance business in Africa. In this role you will develop an in-depth understanding of Old Mutual’s products, philosophy and business strategy while working with a broad range of business stakeholders in a fast-paced, innovative and challenging environment.

The core responsibilities will include:
Supporting the team in providing a range of actuarial services across the Rest of Africa (RoA) space covering pricing, business intelligence, reserving and capital management functions by:
· Collecting, segmenting, reconciling and aggregating data for all actuarial work
· Performing technical actuarial calculations and employing the actuarial control cycle to support business needs.
· Analysing and providing support on various business initiatives, as required
· Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with the various stakeholders within the greater Old Mutual group.
Job Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Actuarial graduate with a minimum of 4 exemptions
· Experience in VBA, R and/or SAS will be an advantage.
