RIP: Family and friends bid farewell to actor Mpho Sebeng

Ring of Lies actor Mpho Sebeng has been described as a talented young man who was eager to learn.

Friends, family, and industry colleagues gathered at the Rhema Bible Church to bid farewell to Sebeng, who died in a car accident on Sunday.

The 31-year-old starred in many local productions, recently playing the character of Ceasar on the Netflix show, Miseducation.

Actor Warren Masemola said that he was fortunate enough to watch Sebeng become a star.

“We all saw and I think it’s a testimony, Mpho rising, like he grew up. Mpho was always hungry for knowledge.”

Another friend and industry colleague, Vele Manenje, shared this tribute during the service.

“I now know real tears because your goddaughter and I are crying painfully for you. I know a true performer because you performed for me every chance you got. Rest my king. Rest in peace.”
