Activists on the clock to vacate Camps Bay mansion

A group of seven queer activists have until midday on Thursday to vacate the premises of a Camps Bay mansion in Cape Town.
The Western Cape High Court ruled against the group, called the Queer Radical Feminist Activist Collective, after an urgent application by a company managing the property and the homeowner.
The group unlawfully occupied the mansion to highlight discrimination against the Queer community, lack of land, and gender-based violence.
The City of Cape Town is promising to provide alternative shelter, if they qualify, after three members of the group said they would be homeless if immediately evicted.
