ABSA board director Sipho Pityana to challenge Absa axing

Axed ABSA board director Sipho Pityana says he will be challenging the bank’s decision to have him removed.

In a statement, Absa says Pityana neglected or was derelict in performing his duties.

He has been fired with immediate effect. Pityana says the decision is unlawful.
