8,920 new COVID-19 cases, 8 deaths recorded

The country’s COVID-19 infections are showing little sign of slowing down. On Thursday, 8,920 new cases have been reported.
Most of them were recorded in Gauteng, with 3,484 new infections. It’s followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 1,942 new infections. Meanwhile, the Western Cape recorded 1,461 new cases.

Sadly, eight more deaths have been recorded. The positivity rate stands at 23.1 percent.
