President Cyril Ramaphosa optimistic of ANC’s victory in the upcoming elections

African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa says he does not doubt that the party will win the 2024 general elections.

This comes as several polls show ANC support dwindling compared to previous elections. Ramaphosa was addressing thousands during the party’s elections volunteer launch at Inanda north of Durban.

The party president and top ANC officials have started the countdown to its national manifesto launch on Saturday, at Durban’s Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Ramaphosa says he is confident that the party will also win the elections in highly contested provinces, including KwaZulu-Natal.

“We are saying that the ANC will rule KZN and all other provinces Including the Western Cape. We say to the DA governing the Western Cape watch out! We will take over. Our campaign is warming up,” adds Ramaphosa. Ramaphosa will also visit the grave of the late party President John Langalibalele Dube.

He says the party will shock many this weekend with its strategies it will implement.

“Many will be shocked this weekend that the ANC has delivered a manifesto that will improve South Africa. This manifesto was written from the concerns and demands of all ANC supporters on the change they want to see in the country. Last year, we [gave] ourselves time … we travelled to each and every province and took down all the concerns from all South Africans throughout.

We also compared our previous manifesto and the volunteers advised us on where to improve,” explains the ANC president.
