2,846 new COVID-19 infections, 8 deaths

2,846 new cases have been recorded in the last 24-hours. Over 1,300 of those were reported in Gauteng.

647 cases were recorded in KwaZulu-Natal. The Eastern Cape has 159 cases.

The rest of the provinces recorded below 100 cases. Sadly 8 more people have died.

Over 21,000 tests were conducted. The country’s positivity rate stands at 13.4 percent.
