7,338 new COVID-19 cases, 253 deaths recorded

Over 7,300 new COVID-19 cases and 253 deaths have been recorded in the last 24 hours. KwaZulu-Natal has recorded 1,923 infections and the Western Cape has 1,591 cases.
Cases in the Eastern Cape also remain high, with over 1,200 new cases reported. More than 55,000 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours, with a 13,3 percent positivity rate.
