Concerns over exam marker shortage in key subjects ahead of 2024 Matric examinations
As the 2024 matric examinations approach, concerns about marker shortages have surfaced across different assessment bodies.
While Umalusi oversees the examination processes, it’s the various assessment bodies — particularly the Department of Basic Education — that are actively seeking markers.
Otherwise, preparations for the final matric exams are well on track.
Umalusi CEO Dr Mafu Rakometsi said there are contingency measures in place.
