2023 matric top achievers tell a journey of conquered hurdles

It’s all smiles for the class of 2023 after the Independent Examinations Board announced an overall pass rate of 98.46%.

This is slightly higher than that achieved by the matric class of 2022.

Kwaito star L’vovo Derrango has returned to the studio after a two year-long hiatus following a car crash and suffering a stroke. Real name Thokozani Ndlovu, the 43-year-old artist, who is known for his unique blend of kwaito, house and hip-hop music, was involved in a car crash earlier in 2022 and suffered a stroke in December of the same year.

In May 2022, L’vovo spent two months in hospital with a fractured hip after the car accident. He said he had to attend physiotherapy to learn how to walk again after the accident. Read more
