169 new COVID-19 cases, 18 deaths recorded

The health department said 169 new COVID-19 cases were recorded over the last 24 hours, with an additional 18 COVID-19 related deaths.
Gauteng had the highest number of infections, with 37 new cases recorded. It’s followed by KwaZulu-Natal and the Free State with 28. Limpopo had three new cases.
The department said 20,495 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours with a positivity rate of 0.8 percent.
