Zimbabwe’s main opposition party announces new name. The MDC Alliance led by Nelson Chamisa has resolved to adopt a new name ahead of the 26 March by-elections. NewZimbabwe.com quoted a source as saying the new name will not be revealed before the nomination court. Said the source:

Nelson Chamisa set to announce new party name. The party’s National Council met on Saturday and made the resolution to abandon the MDC Alliance name after MDC-T leader Douglas Mwonzora appropriated the MDC brand and all its variants.

So today he has just announced the new name of the Party name and below is the name. During a live press conference Nelson Chamisa revealed that their party is going to be called the Citizen Coalition for Change.

The party’s sign and slogans are yet to be revealed as well.
