Vusa Nova in shock as late Zahara’s sisters sell her furniture

Social media was lit after learning that Zahara’s family had listed her furniture and other valuables for sale. Reports have it that the family is selling her furniture and other belongings to the highest bidder.

Rumour mill has it that the family is circulating photos of some of her household items on WhatsApp with price tags. Zahara’s sisters are also selling her awards.

However, close friends of Zahara have since criticised the family for selling some of her valuable possessions. Zahara’s best friend, Vusi Nova, was puzzled to learn that her furniture and other items were listed for sale.

Confirmed reports have it that her sisters used her mobile to contact several colleagues and friends and invite them to a mega sale. Rumour mill has it that Zahara’s sisters are selling anything they can negotiate for.

Speaking to the media, Vusi Nova said, “I am always there for the stuff that they need and for the parents, but they did not tell me anything about selling Zahara’s furniture. I am so shocked about what you are telling me. I didn’t know.”

However, Zahara’s former manager, Oyama Dyosiba, distanced himself from the drama.

He said, “Old clients called asking me what was happening and why we were selling her furniture. I was not aware of what was happening. I just told them I have not been active and have removed myself from her affairs since the sisters took over.”

Against his remarks, he referred all questions to Zahara’s sisters, Bandezwa and Lumka, who have taken over her estate.

Against the news, Zahara’s husband, Mpho Xaba, opened up about his woes with the family. He has it that he was sidelined from her funeral and was barred from attending funeral proceedings. ZiMoja reports that the family does not recognise him as her husband (or fiancé) because he reportedly did not pay full lobola.

The mega sale comes barely a few weeks after the rumour mill claimed that the taxman was after Zahara’s house after she failed to settle her bond with the bank. A close source friend of Zahara also confirmed the news of the mega sale to the media.

Speaking to the media, the source said, “They are selling absolutely everything without even consulting her elders at home. That furniture is way too expensive for what they are selling it for. They … really don’t care about her legacy.”
