Well-trained Auto Mechanic wanted Urgently

Our company is in need of an experienced, thorough Mechanic for servicing our fleet of vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing myriad mechanical issues on company vehicles, including AC and electrical problems. We’re looking for a well-trained and highly organized professional who takes pride in his or her work and can perform various company service duties as required throughout the day. We need a professional with a flexible schedule and a willingness to work overtime when needed.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Keeps equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as, engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, replacing filters.
Maintains vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components; repairing body damage.
Verifies vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
Maintains vehicle appearance by cleaning, washing, and painting.
Take a detailed history of vehicle performance or mechanical failure

Auto Mechanic
Diagnose vehicles based on observational and mechanical testing as well as information provided by the driver of the vehicle
Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined
Provide the company with detailed estimates for repairs and replacements and obtain signature approval prior to commencing work
Repair vehicles based on the diagnosed issues and repair estimate
Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads and wheel bearings
Disassemble and reassemble parts
Use testing equipment to ensure that repairs and maintenance are effective
Test drive vehicles after repairs are complete to ensure mechanical soundness and to determine whether any other problems exist
Describe vehicle’s condition to fleet manager and answer any follow-up questions
Maintains vehicle records by recording service and repairs.
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Contains costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.
Accomplishes maintenance and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
Qualifications and skills:

High school diploma/GED required
Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
Excellent physical condition
ASE certification preferred (National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence)
3+ years of automotive repair experience
Valid driver’s license
Excellent communication skills
Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
Knowledge of tools and equipment required to conduct all repairs
Ability to operate diagnostic tools required
Must read, interpret and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records
Good hand-eye coordination.
Other:

Willing to travel countrywide to do in-field repairs
