The Main Purpose of the job.
Accurately receive, pick, pack, and despatch stock for distribution purposes and to assist with general warehouse related administration, queries, and housekeeping tasks. As required also assist with purchasing and delivering.
Education and experience required:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a warehouse Storeman
Passed Grade 12
Logistics, Supply chain management or Procurement post-matric qualification.
Knowledge Skills and Competencies required:
· Basic computer knowledge
· Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
· Read, write and speak English fluently
· Numerical Reasoning Skills: Perform basic numerical calculations
· Attention to detail
· The ability to structure own work according to priorities and deadlines.
· Customer Focus: The ability to handle clients in an effective and professional manner.
· The ability to quickly grasp the core of a problem, attend to relevant detail when analyzing a problem, and determine the possible causes for a problem.
· The ability to ensure that quality and productivity standards are met.
· The ability to act as part of a team and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team.
· The ability to understand the technical aspects of my own work and continually maintain technical knowledge.
Key areas of responsibilities:
· Accurately receive, pick, pack and dispatch stock for distribution purposes
· Assist with general warehouse related administration
· Queries and housekeeping tasks.
· As required also assist with purchasing and delivering
