The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible to receive and dispatch merchandise to and from our warehouse. You will unload stock from delivery vehicles and pack them accordingly as well as load customer orders accurately. One will also be responsible for always keeping your work environment clean and tidy whilst complying with safety rules regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring cleanliness, tidiness and safety of work within your and surrounding working environments.
Loading and unloading delivery vehicles.
Accepting delivery of inventory and checking that the deliveries and transfer documents matches.
Counting and confirming the proper amounts.
Inspecting for damage and faults.
Communicating errors or deformities to relevant members of management.
Marking and labelling stock as instructed.
Storing inventory in accessible manner.
Using the correct tools provided for your role.
Essential Requirements:
- Grade 12/Matric
- Work experience as a general labourer, preferably in a warehouse.
- Strong people skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Physically strong, agile.
- Ability to work extended hours as and when required.
- Positive work history.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills.
- No criminal record.
