Vusi Thembekwayo has allegedly been charged with gender-based violence against his wife Palesa Thembekwayo.
He reportedly assaulted the mother of his children and wife, Palesa Thembekwayo in their Dainfern home last week (4 December).
Vusi Thembekwayo is in big trouble, you don’t just brush off GBV allegations with a mere press statement.
His career rests on his reputation. Throwing his wife under the bus was also a bad move. It’s a perception game before the matter is resolved in court

Mzansi’s favourite motivational speaker Vusi Thembekwayo has reportedly assaulted his wife Palesa Thembekwayo.
Sunday World reported that Thembekwayo slapped his wife, dragged her by the feet during a heated argument in their home.
The alleged incident happened ten days into the global 16 days of Activism Against Women and Children Abuse campaign.
A police statement states that Thembekwayo found his wife sleeping in their matrimonial home and woke her.
“He woke her up, instructed her to pack her bags and go.”
“She refused and an argument ensued.”
“He pulled her by the legs off the bed, slapped her several times, and dragged her down the stairs”
“Loaded her bags in the car, and forced her in the car.”
The statement adds that Palesa jumped out of the car and ran away when they stopped at the traffic lights near Crowthorne, Midrand.
Vusi Thembekwayo said “he’s a Man who like to keep his family matters private”, but he ended up telling the public that “his wife a drug addict.” pic.twitter.com/5ethKijYkG

Palesa Thembekwayo has now opened a case of common assault against him at the Douglasdale Police Station.
He was reportedly arrested and released on bail on Monday (5 December) and appeared briefly in the Randburg magistrate’s court on Wednesday (6 December).
The publication reports that the case is likely to be converted to assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The spokesperson for the Gauteng provincial police, Mavela Masondo confirmed to the publication that the businessman was arrested for common assault.
Masondo said he appeared in the Randburg magistrate’s court last Wednesday and said the case was postponed to next year (2022).
Thembekwayo denied that he was arrested when he was contacted and said he was not home last weekend.
The author has now released a statement on his Twitter account which states that he maintains his innocence and will prove this in the appropriate forum.

“Whether she’s struggling with substance abuse or not (which I think you’ve mentioned in an attempt to discredit her), we believe her.”
“Why are you exposing her that she’s battling with substance abuse?”
“I wish you didn’t add the substance abuse part.”
This is bad.
As you know, in a country where our women are being bartered, killed and raped our first stance is to believe your wife.
Whether she’s struggling with substance abuse or not (which I think you’ve mentioned in an attempt to discredit her), WE BELIEVE HER.

But mentioning that she struggles with substance abuse was not necessary.
In fact, it seems very deliberate and strategic. That’s all I will say.

But it’s fine for women to mention that their “abusive” husbands are drunkards. These double standards are messed up.. one day you will be accused of gbv n u will understand
