Reporting to the Director of Media and Content, the Social Editor is responsible for cutting Wiggle Digital online and social videos, sizzle and/or highlight packages, targeted sponsorship or marketing specific videos, and potentially short documentary-style content. We are looking for someone who has a solid knowledge of the technical side of the editing craft with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and able to meet quick turnarounds and tight deadlines.
In addition, this person should be able to bring a story to life no matter what the project assigned is. Creativity is a must, the ability to visualize a story or concept and bring it to life through editing.
Responsibilities:
Edit topical digital content for Wiggle Digital’s social channels
Create story-driven short-form content including episodic content, features, sizzle reels and promotional elements
Display functional knowledge of all Post Production technologies including ingest/output of media, file conversions, media distribution, and quality control
Meets deadlines and displays well-developed time and resource management skills
Has the ability to take creative direction but can work independently to execute.
Log, organize, and maintain Wiggle Digital’s video footage. Fill footage requests as needed.
Qualifications:
1 year of relevant experience in post-production, film, or television.
Proficient in HD workflow, Premiere Pro, and color correction in general
Understanding of After Effects, Photoshop, and all Adobe creative cloud preferred
Strong, experienced editorial sensibility and understanding of voice and storytelling
Some camera operation may be needed. Sony FS7, Canon 300, or equivalent.
Team player and willing to work with others
Excellent written and verbal skills
