Unathi Nkayi recently performed with the legendary South African band STIMELA, captivating the audience with a powerful and soulful performance.
The collaboration highlighted Unathi’s versatility and the timeless appeal of STIMELA’s music. Fans were thrilled to see the dynamic energy and synergy between Unathi and the band, making it a memorable musical experience.
Today I had the honour of recording with the legendary STIMELA for their forth coming project. As I left Down Town Studios I called my dad in tears and emotional about this incredible experience and needless to say (because it is his favourite band) he was excited and stressed that they needed to print CDs and vinyls for his generation,” she wrote.
“I then called uBaby in disbelief and expressed how mind-blowing it was…..I found myself saying ‘But my love WHY ME?’ His rhetoric was ‘For that exact reason because it IS YOU! Why not you?’ When I told my lil humans in the car after picking them up after studio they said ‘Yho Tamkhulu always plays them mom so he’s going to be so proud.
