Two of the accused in the murder case of rapper Kiernan Forbes, known as AKA, and his friend Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane acquired the legal services of a former acting National Prosecuting Authority head in KwaZulu Natal.
Advocate Cyril Mlotshwa will now represent Lindokuhle Mkhwanazi and Lindo Ndimande.
Mlotshwa appeared before the Zondo Commission into state capture in 2020, where he testified that he was removed from his post for refusing to turn a blind eye to corruption.
Five of the seven men arrested in connection with murdering AKA and Tibz are before the Durban Magistrates Court applying for bail.
They were arrested in February for the pair’s murder on Durban’s popular Florida Road in 2023.
