This is why Twitter wants Lerato Pillay account suspended #PutSouthAfricansFirst #ZimbabweansMustFall

Fears of xenophobic attacks in South Africa were renewed over the weekend after a hashtag #ZimbabweansMustFall started trending on Twitter, pushed mostly by what seems to be a ghost twitter account @uLerato_pillay as it is not verified.

Zimbabweans, Nigerians, Mozambicans and Malawians have been at the receiving end of these attacks on South Africa, as the continent’s biggest economy begins to shrink as a result of Covid-19 pandemic, among other factors.

The Lerato Pillay twitter account has started trending again with her calling on South Africans, to challenge the Government for not enforcing labour laws. She also posted ” I would like to thank this two leaders for not seeking personal glory…. not forgetting Herman Mashaba for everything he has done since his days as the Mayor of JHB, it takes brave Leaders to Embrace”

She went on to say SA doesn’t have an unemployment issue it has a high influx of foreigners occupying jobs that should AND can be reserved for its citizens.

-Truck drivers
-Domestic work
-Petrol attended
-Waiters
-Taxi/Uber drivers
-Cashiers

Lerato Pillay was brutal in her push to #PutSouthAfricansFirst, this is the debate that she has started on twitter.

Some of Lerato Pillay Tweets are calling for every South African to refuse any service if it’s coming from any foreign nationals.
