Thick Leeyonce speaks after surviving horrific car accident

Renowned social media influencer Lesego Legobane (ThickLeeyonce) counts herself lucky to be alive, she recently took to Instagram to give a progress update on her recovery following her near-fatal car crash, which left her in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) last week.

She shared a video in which she is trying to walk with the assistance of a walker that has her drip and oxygen mask attached.

Her amazed and overjoyed mom can be heard in the background shouting, “My baby is walking, God is good. You must say all the time” to which the 26-year-old model replied “All the time,” and her mother aadde; “God is good nothing is greater than God. Lesego is walking again. Oh, thank you Jesus” she said in Sotho.

ThickLeeyonce could not be outdone in the surprise of being able to walk again, after such a life-threatening accident.

“My doctors are calling it a miracle, most people who have accidents like mine barely make it out alive, and if they do then their injuries take months/years to heal.

“I’m happy to let you all know that my 7 hour-long operation was a success yesterday, so thank you all for your prayers. I AM WALKING AGAIN God is so good,” she said.

She added that with the progress she making regarding the healing process, she will very soon be transferred to the ‘out of danger’ section of the hospital, that is the ordinary wards.

“I’ll be leaving ICU and going to a normal ward, I’ll soon be able to pee in the bathroom again (but obviously with the help of my nurses). And before I know it, I’ll be home.

“My God is a living God. I cannot believe any of this. He truly is so kind to me. I’m still in a lot of pain, I still scream and cry when I have to sit or get up or when someone touches my upper body but I am strong and I am a fighter. I SURVIVED THE WORST AND NOW I FEAR NOTHING!!! [sic],” she wrote in her caption.

The accident happened on Sunday afternoon around 3:40 pm in Roodepoort.

Meanwhile, a close friend to the influencer told Sowetan that Legobane was driving from church with her two younger sisters (14 and 10) and nephew (4). They were allegedly hit by a speeding motorcycle on the front passenger side.

“The car spun twice. The 4-year-old flew out the car; however, by God’s grace, he didn’t get a lot of injuries. Neither did the other two children aside from scratches from the broken glasses,” said the friend who declined to be named.
