The Estate cast finally gets paid

It was not that long ago when entertainment blogger and commentator Phil Mphela took to his social media to announce that since November, The Estate’s cast and staff had not been paid. He stated that he had obtained convincing evidence that their salaries had been postponed three times by the producing business, Clive Morris Productions.

This news did not sit well with the fans of the show who were concerned as to why one of the best soapies in Mzansi could not afford to pay its crew members, fearing that the soapie would be cancelled altogether.

It has therefore come as a relief after Phil confirmed that the cast has finally been paid on Friday which means that we will be finally seeing our favorite actors on screen for a long time. Taking to the comment section, fans could not be any excited at the news.

Finally, many who had feared that the show would be cancelled can now breathe with others saying that something like this should never happen again. Still, it seems that some fans are still shocked that the cast had to wait this long for them to be paid, especially since they had to wait since November last year.

Should we be worried that something like this will happen yet again?

One thing is for sure, being one of the most loved telenovelas on Mzansi, it is good to see that they have finally heeded to the worries and concerns of their fans and finally compensated their cast. For a minute there, Mzansi had thought that the cast would strike and refuse going on set at all.
