The legal representative for escaped convicted rapist and murderer, Thabo Bester is expected to have submitted his application to the Free State High Court to look into his concerns for a fair trial and the court’s jurisdiction.
Advocate Lerato Moela told the court last week that case cannot continue because he is unable to consult and prepare with his client properly.
Bester is seeking the court’s intervention in what he says is unfair treatment by the Correctional Services Department. Bester and his co-accused are set to appear before the court on Wednesday.
Last week Moela argued that Bester’s concerns should be addressed before the pre-trial hearing can commence.
