Socialite Tha Simelane rubbishes claims he’s MaMkhize’s follower

Popular Mzansi reality TV star, actress, and businesswoman, Shauwn Mkhize aka MaMkhize’s bestie, reality show star Tha Simelane, is a deputy school principal and says people shouldn’t get it twisted.

Tha is known in entertainment circles as a socialite, actor, and MC and is often seen next to Shauwn Mkhize, as Royal AM’s ambassador.

This week Tha said he is offended by people labelling him Shauwn’s disciple, adding there’s a lot he does in society but being a disciple isn’t one.

Speaking to the publication, Tha said he has been teaching for more than 20 years.

“I’m passionate about teaching, I love children and it’s no longer a calling because it’s no longer about money. It’s another way of me being busy. I won’t resign. It irritates me knowing some people lack knowledge.”

KwaMashu-born Tha said he juggles his professional work and being Royal AM ambassador attending Premier Soccer League matches.

“It’s not difficult to be an ambassador because you are involved on match days. My problem in being involved with Royal AM is the travelling. But I love what I do there and it doesn’t conflict with my work as a deputy principal.”

Tha said he and MaMkhize, who he calls “Chief Sister”, are preparing for season 3 of her reality show.

“I can’t say much about the show’s season 3. I’ve got my own life to live and dreams that need my own attention.”
