Telkom, South Africa’s third-largest mobile operator, has reported a 54-per cent increase in data revenue.
This is thanks to an 81-percent surge in mobile traffic due to more of its customers working from home. The company was also able to improve adjusted free cash flow by R2.6-billion.
But it’s not just good news for Telkom. Its fixed-line business continues to decline, with Telkom losing more than half-a-million customers.
Since the end of March, consumers have been getting rid of their landlines, opting for mobile services.
